One big extended family shoot!

You might remember Chelsie from a senior shoot I did a few weeks ago...well her mom, Lisa, wanted me to take some pictures of their family as well as her brother and sister's families. I gladly obliged and we braved the cold (it was freezing!) last weekend to get some great family shots at Franklin Park.

Here are just a few from the session, I tried to fit one of every family in...and of course one of adorable baby Noah!

Elisabeth | Senior 2010

I was so happy to have the opportunity to shoot Elisabeth this past weekend. She is a beautiful senior at Big Walnut this year and will be the last senior I shoot until I come back from maternity leave.

Boy did I end this year with a bang...Elisabeth's session turned out great. In order to avoid the freezing temperatures and possible rain we held the shoot at Elisabeth's beautiful house in Galena. There were so many elements to work with in the house and we even braved the cold for a couple of amazing outdoor shots.

Thanks to Elisabeth and her mom and sister for letting me spend the morning with them!

Kristen & Dennis | Engagement

I had the opportunity to hang out with Kristen & Dennis this past Saturday morning to celebrate their engagement with some photos. They are such a wonderful couple and I am also privileged to shoot their wedding next June.

We started at the main library downtown and walked to the statehouse and back. I love shooting downtown Columbus, there is always something new to discover around every corner:) I finally got to do some engagement shots at a mural downtown that I've been eyeing for over a year. I think you will agree that it is perfect for engagement pictures:) Although I think we wore Dennis out by the end (or maybe he was just ready to watch some football) we got some amazing shots from these two.

Thanks Kristen & Dennis, I'm looking forward to your wedding!

Steve, Mary Ellen & Amelia

I got to spend a morning with Steve and Mary Ellen and their 2 month old daughter Amelia. She is such a cutie and they are such wonderful parents!

Steve & Mary Ellen live in Boston, but have family in Zanesville (I went to school with her sister, Allison) so they wanted me to take some photos while they were nearby visiting family.

Being around Amelia made me so excited for the impending arrival of my little one (due to arrive in about 5 weeks!) and I'm so happy that I was able to capture a day in her life.

Thanks Steve, Mary Ellen & Amelia!

Jason & Jessica | Engagement

I can't wait to shoot Jason & Jessica's wedding next July. They are holding the ceremony at BOMA (a church turned art museum/bar in downtown Columbus) with a reception at the Crowne Plaza. It should be a fantastic event with tons of great photo opportunities:)

In the meantime I was able to shoot their engagement session this past weekend. These two are so easy to work with, I hardly had to pose them. I told them to act natural and in love and they definitely took that to heart.

Although it was a blustery gray day we made the most of our shoot at OSU (where they met....awwwwwwww) and walked around to quite a few different spots. We even stopped into a record store on High St. which made an awesome backdrop.

Thanks Jason & Jessica...I can't wait until next summer!

Doug & Leah | 09.26.09

Doug & Leah planned an outdoor wedding at the beautiful Jeffrey Mansion in Bexley, but unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans. With rain in the forecast the entire day they moved the ceremony indoors to a gorgeous spot in the main entryway.

My husband and I are friends with Doug & Leah and I was very excited to shoot their wedding. This was my last one before the baby arrives!

It was a beautiful fall wedding. They had mums and sunflowers on the tables and pumpkin bread (homemade by Leah's grandmother!) for their guests to take home.

Oh and the food...the food was amazing. And I'm not just saying because I'm pregnant. Doug works at Route 62 Barbecue so they had pulled pork and BBQ turkey catered in. I've never been to a wedding with BBQ before but now I wish I had had it at my wedding!

Thanks Doug & Leah for letting me share in your day. I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon in the most magical place on earth!
